The DAR is made up of women who have lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. This is the common bond that ties us together. Any woman 18 years of age or older, regardless of race, religion or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from an American Revolutionary War patriot is eligible for membership.
Membership in the DAR offers today’s women the opportunity to contribute to important service projects within their community and promote love of country while making life-long friendships. The women who make up the DAR today have diverse backgrounds and hold a variety of interests.
